Shopping spree

I'm so sorry I forgot to post yesterday! I'm such an idiot and thought I did. Oh well...

So today I took a trip to the mall and bought a few things. I didn't have that much money on me but I managed to get some awesome items :)

So as I usually do, I thought I'd blog about them and just give a brief review! So I got 3 pieces of clothing and a DVD. I will share images of these at the end of this blogpost.

The first piece of clothing I purchased was a new pair of black leggings. I didn't take a photo of them to share as they're just pretty basic. So these cost £3 from Primark. I have another pair just like these but I wanted to get another as I really like them. They're great as they're super soft and also very easy fitting. They're not tight or anything uncomfortable like that, which is a good relief. They are just simple, casual, comfy and look good with most other items of clothing.

The second item of clothing I bought is a beautiful dress from Primark which cost £7. It's white with small blue butterflies on it. What I like most about it is how it feels. It's extremely soft and comfy with a cute puffy bottom covered in 3 frill layers. It's a fun little feminine piece to wear on a warm day or just for a special occasion. I picked it out with the third item if clothing I am about to discuss. They were placed next to each other purposively on the clothing rack as they match well together.

So this third item is a light blue, cropped denim jacket. This cost £16 from Primark. I really liked it as even though its denim, it also had a nice feel to it, almost soft. I also liked it as I have had and do own other denim jackets which so often feel slightly uncomfortable because of the material. But this particular jacket was actually pretty comfy as well as pretty.

So yeah, that's it for the clothes! As for the DVD, I bought "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey". I have never read the book or "The Lord Of The Rings" book trilogy but I have all the DVDs ad really love them. And yes I do realize to the hardcore fan who have read the books that that is one of the worst things I could have said. I understand, I am part of several fandoms which I fangirl over obsessively because I have read/watched and love their books/movies. But I guess I just arrived to this fandom late and also I've just been really into other books lately so I haven't really gotten to a point where I have resorted in finally reading "The Hobbit" or "The Lord Of The Rings".

But anyway, on with my quick review of the movie. All in all, I loved it! Martin Freeman (oh god that sexy man) did a spectacular job playing the title role of Bilbo Baggins. He really resembled Bilbo at a younger age in comparison to the Ian Holmes version of Bilbo as an older man. Martin and Ian also really look alike which is awesome, makes it more believable. He must have really studied the character in order to pull it of so well. But then, he also didn't copy Ian's portrayal down to every last bit, he made sure he made the character his own and I really liked that. I also loved, and developing a huge crush on, Richard Armitage who plays Thorin Oakenshield in the movie. I mean are you fucking kidding me, he's so buff and sexy it's unreal. He's also a great actor, Im not sure if I've seen any of his other movies but I'm now interesting in seeing more, for sure. I also LOVE the dwarves. They were so funny, especially the cute baby of the dwarve gang, I think he's called Oin. But what I think the filmmakers really succeeded in with the dwarves was making each of them different and their personalities stand out. A film containing many characters can sometimes have trouble with this and the audience get confused. But I was pretty familiar with each dwarve by the end of the movie so I was really pleased and impressed. As for the storyline, it was really well told and easy to grasp, even for people like me who haven't even the book. I guess I'm glad in some ways that I haven't read the book as knowing how a movie adaptation differs from a book is not squally a good thing. Like I have seen a few people online say they didn't like it whereas others say they love it.

So anyway that's what I bought today. Now I should probably get back to doing coursework. I'm trying to force myself to do it now. I go back to college on Monday and that will be my very last week to get the work completed. So procrastination is not a possibility right now. Must. Focus. Although I'm watching "The Hobbit" for the second time just to clear the silence as I'll get super bored and tired if I'm doing coursework with nothing going on in the background. Anyway, my jaw still hurts too so I'm going to go!
